October 9 2024 – Vizzion on-vehicle imagery helps with Hurricane Helene response
Vizzion is providing on-vehicle camera imagery and data to the North Carolina Department of Transportation following the devastation of Hurricane Helene to help identify impacted roadways and validate areas that are safe for travel. Nodeology, a specialist in creating ArcGIS imagery and video tools for road and infrastructure inspections, has integrated the imagery we’ve gathered from parts of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida into an easy to use interface that they’ve made publicly available here.

September 30 2015 - Vizzion launching fog and heavy precipitation detection for drivers at ITS World Congress
Vizzion, best known for aggregating the world’s largest network of traffic cameras, is launching a new weather analytics service at the ITS World Congress in Bordeaux, Oct. 5-9. Vizzion’s new service proactively scans a global network of nearly 51,000 live traffic cameras to detect low visibility conditions such as fog, smoke, or heavy precipitation. The service outputs georeferenced polygons outlining locations of low visibility for easy integration into traffic management centers and driving-focused apps – allowing drivers to be automatically alerted or re-routed for their safety.
